Summer may be coming to an end, but let’s not say goodbye to all that wonderful time for reflection and rejuvenation just yet. Consider extending that opportunity by joining a learning circle this semester. Connect with colleagues, share diverse perspectives, grapple with new ideas – and keep summer alive!

 

Variety in VARIETE!

VARIETE will take place in the library’s Whitman Room on Wednesday, August 17th (12:30-4:30 p.m.). Two members of the “Hybrid Learning” group will share their experiences: Nancy Ruppert (Education) will consider how student discussions with Moodle enhance their learning, and Tracey Rizzo (History), who created the VARIETE acronym, will explore virtual possibilities in Humanities classes. In addition, Jen Ward (Biology) will introduce podcasting, Mike Ruiz (Physics) will demonstrate making “how-to” YouTube videos, and Karen Cole (Education) will explore Second Life and its applications to teaching.
