Transforming American education: Learning powered by technology is the 2010 report of the National Education Technology Plan, calling for the application of technology to education to improve student learning.
The Horizon Report is a yearly white paper compiled by the New Media Consortium. The report discusses emerging trends in technology and the use of new technology in education.
The "7 Things you should know" series is published by Educause, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to advance higher education by encouraging "intelligent use of information technology." The series covers a wide range of educational issues and highlights the 7 most important things to know about a particular topic or educational tool.

The MERLOT Journal of Online Learning and Teaching (JOLT) is a peer-reviewed, online publication addressing the scholarly use of multimedia resources in education. JOLT is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December.
The Australasian Journal of Educational Technology (AJET) is another refereed online journal publishing research and review articles in educational technology, instructional design, educational applications of computer technologies, educational telecommunications and related areas.
Innovate was an open access, peer-reviewed periodical focusing on the creative use of information technology to enhance educational processes in academic, commercial, and governmental settings. Although the last volume was published in 2009, all issues are still available online.
