Faculty Fellows: Two-year positions for faculty interested in learning about the field of faculty/educational development and contributing to ongoing programming and consultation activities at the CTL. See the 2018-2020 program description and application here; check back in the Fall 2018 semester for the 2019-2021 cycle application.
Learning Communities: FLCs provide an opportunity for a multidisciplinary group of 6-10 faculty to meet and work together over an extended period of time on a topic or project of mutual interest. As with our campus learning circle model, FLCs bring together faculty from across the university, assume no prior expertise of members, and ideally, offer a supportive and collaborative environment for active learning and inquiry. Unlike learning circles, UNCA FLCs will last a full academic year (June, 2018 - May, 2019) and culminate in a goal-oriented final report, housed on the CTL website, summarizing and reflecting upon the FLC’s learning and accomplishments. Find more information and application information here.
Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Grants: The SoTL grants program aims to support teams of 2-4 full-time faculty members with a shared question about the impact of a new teaching practice, course redesign, or curricular innovation on student learning.
